Hi there, Bergs:
So happy to be able to check on Rio Bravo through this web site! Gosh, it's been so long that we've been there. I just wish it were possible for us to return. But, we're just not able to and I regret it very much. We keep Rio Bravo in our prayers and our little kids Bible School class supports one of your little girls for Pan de Vida. They send their money each month for her. They love hearing about the kids in Rio Bravo programs.
We're all fine here - very busy with the new church we've started. It really takes up a lot of our time doing our various duties, etc. And, ofcourse, we have SO many outreach mission projects (which are wonderful) that keeps us hoping, and - is the reason for us being here - trying to bring in the unchurched to the Lord.
If you think of it, please tell Candy and also Todd Tate hello for us, okay? I still have little Jose's picture up - I pray for him everyday... he's probably about 8 years old now? Not sure. I hope he is still attending Pan de Vida. He was such a little guy when we were there in 2005 or 6 - can't remember which year we met him. I think it was 2006. So, that's 3 years ago. I guess he would only be about 7 now... I think he was either THE youngest or ONE OF the youngest children there - around 4 years old. What an angel.
Well, God bless all of you in your work. Even though we can't be there, we do remember you in prayer.

Hello. I live in Ocala, Florida and attend Southwest Christian Church. Dick and Lavonne Mackey told me a little about your ministry. I have an interest in finding out more and possibly bringing a small group down sometime during the summer of '09. The idea is to get a group together to ride our motorcycles down there. We could do anything from teaching to building.

I just wanted to say THANKS for the wonderful experience our team recieved as a part of the CIY mission this summer. It was one of the most challenging weeks our teens, as well as myself, have ever seen. Please know the we will continue to pray for you and the work you are doing there. We met in Acuna with Bill Baker. My heart has been in Acuna for years as we worked there for 8 years with Rafa. You know about that situation. I enjoyed scanning through your website. I have a question though? You talked about picking up children at the Acuna church and taking them to VBS or camp. How many Christian Churches are there in Acuna? I have only known of 1 active one. Also, what future plans do you have for Acuna? If we bring groups in to work with your mission in Mexico, what is the cost? Get back with me. Thanks.

Central Christian team arrived home safely to Saint Petersburg,Fl. Saturday. Thank you for your hospitality during our stay. Tell Candy I am still craving REAL home made tacos. We are praying for Gustovo and his family. Please keep us updated. This is the 1st mission trip for myself and my daughters but not the last. Your team is organized and always stayed ahead of us with more task to accomplish. God did watched over my business as he used me in Mexico. It is amazing the outreach you do with the limited resources that are available to you. Keep up the great outreach and may God bless all your efforts.

Hey, I just wanted to thank everyone at Rio Bravo Ministries that helped to make our missions trip go smoothly. It was amazing to be able to witness and be a part of what God is doing in Mexico. I had a great time and learned so much about Mexico, myself and the one God that we all serve. Thanks again and I hope we'll be able to come back !

I received your newsletter yesterday, and each time, I forget to send you a note to tell you that my last name had changed from Thomlinson to Campbell. It is listed on the newsletter as Smith, so if you could change that. So far I am getting them. Mandy and I are doing great we are going to DC in a couple of weeks for the conference. I would like to get info. so I can ask our youth minister about a STMT to work there. I think that is our only way to get back to see you all. Mandy really enjoyed our time working with you way back when. I guess it has been 6 years now. I missed the last missionary convention, but definately plan to be at the one this year in Indy. Hope to see you then. Do you have a packet for STMT that want to come and work. It would be the summer of 07 unless your full already. Take care, tell Kandis (Kansas), Kami and Kaden we said hello. Do you remember that mandy always called Kandis, Kansas.

Hey, Im one of the Teens from chilhowie, I wanted to say thank you for all you have done for me. God really blessed me for being able to come down there and serve others. I really enjoyed buildine the house, and finishing the outhouse hole. You all are so amazing in what you are doing, and I want you to know that ill be praying for all of you. I have made many many many friends while I was in mexico, and we are all talking about coming down next year. I Just wanted to thank you again for everything you've taught me and the inspiration you all have had on my life. Tod i really enjoyed your messages every night, it really challenged me and I enjoyed how you told a story with everyone of them to make it even more understandable. That night you talked about going hunting with your family and getting lost, and your dad would get out and look at the starts and evetually get you home. Then you put a light on the top of a post so you would'nt get lost anymore. I walk outside that night and looked up at the stars and I found my way home. I will continue to pray for each and everyone of you, and God Bless you all!!.

hi guys! im from the chilhowie christian church group that came and i just wanted to thank CIY and Rio Bravo for the awsome chance to travel to mexico on a mission trip. I feel that this is another sign telling me that God wants me to be a full time missionary. Todd's messages really impacted me and i enjoyed everyone from CIY as well. Everyone in CCC youth group misses you all already but the girls miss Kaden the most. We are trying to set up an offering monthly to send to him to help him pay his way through college. I dont think he knows yet so lets keep it a secret and suprise him with it. We are talking it up about trying to come next year instead of waiting two years. Coming home and looking at what is around me really shows me how God has blessed my life.

I am glad that i got to go to mexico on a mission trip. I really enjoyed work at San Carlos. I really enjoy all the people we meet along are way Brad Berg and Todd Tate and getting to work with them. I am look forward to next year. Thanks alot for every thing you done for each and everyone that went with us.

I am so proud of our youth in our church. You are getting to know them now. They are from Chilhowie Christian Church in Chilhowie, Virginia. The group that traveled there are lights in our church and are all held dear to our hearts. We will all be glad to see them return safely and to hear about the work they have completed there.
