"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
Planting Churches Rio Bravo Christian Ministries has planted two churches in the past ten years. The Church of Christ in Guerrero, Coahuila, MX and the Church of Christ in San Carlos, Coahuila, MX. Todd Tate, RBCM Evangelist is currently ministering with the Guerrero Church and Antonio Preciado is temporarily ministering in San Carlos.
Teaching/Training/Resources Rio Bravo Christian Ministries continues to teach the Word of God through individual and group studies, the children's ministry of Pan de Vida (Pan de Vida means "Bread of Life". The Pan de Vida ministry of Rio Bravo Christian Ministries is a cooperative effort with the local church to reach out to children and their families. The Pan de Vida offers teaching from God's word, fellowship meals, and also assists with the summer Vacation Bible School and Camp activities.
The Pan de Vida is currently being offered at the Guerrero Church of Christ and the San Carlos Church of Christ. In the fall of 2007, 37 children enrolled in Guerrero and that ministry is offered Monday through Friday, every day that school is in session. In San Carlos, there are about 35 children, and with the adults in attendance, there are frequently 55 - 65 in attendance being taught God's word and sharing in a time of fellowship at their Saturday Pan de Vida.
The Pan de Vida ministry is funded by sponsorships. A sponsorship for a child is $23.00 per month. We currently have about 70 children involved in Pan de Vida and many of their parents too. If you would be interested in sponsoring a child of Pan de Vida, please contact Linda Berg at 830-757-1625 or riobravocm@hotmail.com.
Pan de Vida outreach also includes a summer VBS program at various church locations and weeks of Christian camp.
Resources are provided both of the consumable and non-consumable type for the purpose of giving the area church leaders and teachers teaching resources and consist of audio, visual, lesson study books, general supplies, craft supplies and other teaching necessities. These are regularly distributed and available as need be.
National Evangelist Support is given for a temporary time to the churches that we minister with for the purpose of financially assisting them in the early years of their maturity. Salaries, housing, medical and sometimes utilities are provided.
Benevolence is given in the form of helping to provide some of the basic needs for families of the houshold of faith. Through the distribution of the Bags 4 a Buddy, sent out once a year, we are able to collect the following types of items: school supplies, first aid, teacher supplies, craft supplies, household items, shoes, clothing and food. These are regularly distributed and also distributed as need be on a person by person basis. Special cash disbursements are occasionally made for special needs

Central Christian Church from Rockford, IL was here for a week in January. They spent the week over at Rancho San José. They enjoyed sweet fellowship with Candy and Pitacio, the camp caretakers and cook, also with José and Ana and thei family and other members of the Church of Christ in San Carlos.
They assisted with finish work on the caretaker's house. Laying down tile in the living and kitchen areas and painting all interior rooms, installing interior doors and painting them. They also attended the Tuesday night bible study in San Carlos and heped with the craft making, a Jonah craft that won't be forgotten for many years as it was the highlight of the night!!
A special birthday celebration was held for Nathaniel bailey as he was present in Mexico for his 16th birthday. Jo Ellen Isenberg, of Minnesota was also present that weekend to do the cooking for the RBCM annual meeting taking place in Quemado and she made a birthday cake for Nathanial and all to enjoy with him.
There was lots of good eats prepared by Candy, Jo Ellen, the ladies of the church and the lcoal favorite Mexican restaurnt. The fellowship was sweet, the workers were willing, the task was completed.
Thank you all for a delightful experience! we are so grateful you shared of yourselves with us and your Mexican brothers and sisters in Christ in such a loving way.

After a great breakfast, that's what they told us, they had a time of worshp and headed into Acuna with Candy and Pitacio. All of us ate lunch together there at Crosby's, they did a bit of shopping and then returned to San Carlos for the evening service.

Russell and Carlyn Knight just left thismorning after spending a bit more than two weeks here Hosting. They did many things: copied and collated a songbook for use in Mexico by the church; copied VBS materials;; copied many mailing address labels and attadched them to envelopes; copied the La Carta, folded and stickered it to be ready for mailing; worked in the bodega in San Carlos, sorting, fold, and storing clothes; grouted the tile in the caretaker's house; cleaned the BIG house in Quemado; hosted staff meeting meals on Tuesdays; cleaned up the old cannas at the Quemado house; hosted the Cholhowie Team ont he morning of their departure, purchasing the groceries and preparing breakfast for them.
We were able to enjoy some great times of fellowshp with them as we had Thursday night potluck meals in Quemado with Berg's, Kelley's, Chuck Gilson and the Knight's participating and those meals followed with games of puzze times. Many good conversations were had and wonderful Christian fellowship enjoyed

First Christian Church, Mountain City, GA
Seven guys from the First Christian Church of Mountain City, GA arrived on Saturday, April 11th for the purpose of spending a week in Mexico working at Rancho San José. They spent their first night here at Berg's home and then on Sunday went to Mexico to get settled in. They attended church with the San Carlos Church of Christ on Sunday evening. Antonio Preciado, preacher, at the conclusion of the evening service had the men stand and introduce themselves. He then made comment that he appreciated their service in Mexico, as he said, "We are aware of the travel alert of your country and are grateful for your commitment."
During the week, the men were able to build concrete block walls for the girls bath room. They also did the plumbing for the bath room and added dded a porch and roof to the third cabin at the camp. They put in a sidewalk from the dining area to the women's cabin, they assisted with the bible study time in San Carlos on Tuesday evening and also hosted a bow shoot for the are men on Thursday evening.
While the men were in Mexico working, Sara Berg was in the Quemado office in Texas working with Linda setting up the accounting procedures for Rio Bravo Christian MInistries.
It was a very productive week of service. There was good fellowship, good eats, time of study in God's word, prayer and meeting and fellowshipping with new brothers and sisters in Christ.
Thank you First Christian Mountain City for supporting your guys who came to serve recently in Mexico.
